It started in 1995 when our President, Mark Vana, was a route salesman for an industrial launderer. The company would have so many used garments that they would often throw away large quantities of good used work clothes. Mr. Vana would take these discarded items and sell them to a small retail store that sold used work clothes. That company was Affordable Workwear. Some time later Mr. Vana noticed an ad for a going out of business sale at Affordable Workwear and stopped in to talk to the owner about the decision. After meeting the owner, Randy Lance, they struck up an immediate friendship based on their common Christian faith and business interests. A deal was soon arranged and Affordable Workwear was no longer going out of business; but under new ownership.
