Apartment 528 is named after my amazingly gifted mother whose birthday is May 28th. I don't know where I'd be if she hadn't dragged me to hardware and fabric stores as a kid or showed me how to create beautiful things out of nothing!
I started Apt528 in 2007 as a blog where I shared the various DIY attempts of my first Boston apartment and showcased my favorite handmade pieces and vintage finds. But months of writing about my design loves and interviewing makers got me thinking...wouldn't it be great if all my favorite things were in one place?
