Another fly shop? Why in the world do we need one?

I've been fly fishing for about 40 years now. I've caught my share of trout on a fly rod. I've also taken bluegill, crappie, bass, and even catfish with a fly rod. My kids always say (as I'm pulling in the third or fourth fish to their one), "Dad always catches something!"
And that's where my real fun started: helping people to catch fish. That's the goal: helping you to catch more fish.
FFS is here to help you get started in Fly Fishing, improve your fishing, catch more fish, and learn about fly tying. Eventually, we'll have video of many of the products on the site so you can see them out of the package and at work. We'll cover things that you need to know: What's the difference between a hen and a rooster saddle? What does it mean when someone talks about the "webby" part of the feather? And much more.
