It all began over 50 years ago when a young Quebec mother of 5 boys, disappointed with the choices of product to decorate her home, decided to do something about it. Her name was Sylvia Leibner. Her idea was to focus entirely on the home and provide the finest quality, selection and service at the guaranteed lowest prices. That vision, embodied by Linen Chest's original founder and continued by her sons, was finally realized in 1961 with the opening of its first store on Queen Mary Rd.
