Who is Pandora? The original Pandora was a woman whose curiosity got the best of her. According to Greek mythology, she opened a mysterious closed box and let out all the human ills into the world.

I am Jim Thomson and have been in the crafts business since 1976, creating handcrafted burl wood boxes with stone lids. You can see and buy them under the stone lid boxes tab. People frequently asked for puzzle boxes, so several years ago I decided to branch out. I started with Costa Rican puzzle boxes, added Japanese Himitsu-Bako, found a great Turkish puzzle box, added a line of Polish puzzle boxes and secret books. I am always on the lookout for new ones--if you discover any, let me know.
