With a reputation built on many proud years of outstanding service and quality products, our parent company Betts Group have been a Western Australian owned and operated family company since 1892.
The Betts Group found its origins when a young Russian immigrant named Yoel Breckler opened the “Breckler Brothers” boot repair store opposite the Fremantle Town Hall in Western Australia in 1892. After his death in 1912, Yoels’ wife Fanny and two sons Cecil and Alec took over the business, turning it into a small retail footwear store and opened the first store in Hay Street, Perth in the 1920s. It was the biggest shoe store in the country and took Perth by storm!
Over a century later not much has changed! Except we are a little bigger with over 200 stores nationwide, an online store that delivers to Australia and New Zealand and a team of over 1200, all who are committed to providing impeccable service and style advice to our Customers.
These days, it’s rare to hear that large family businesses still exist! This is what makes the Betts Group a little different. The Breckler family are still heavily involved with the Betts Group, five generations on!
