With three teenagers in High School, all attending school dances, I realized that the traditional straight pin used to attach boutonnieres and corsages, was very difficult and outdated. Everyone at the dance pre-parties struggled as well. They complained of pricked fingers, damaged clothing, and crooked flowers.
In 2006, I set out to find a solution to the problem and invented Boutonniere Buddy…the easier, faster, more reliable way of attaching a boutonniere. Our overwhelming success with Boutonniere Buddy has led us to expand our product line to include Corsage Buddy and Magnet Buddy. There are now 6 patented styles to choose from (3 tie-clasp style pins, and 3 different styles of magnets), creating a complete line of floral magnets and pins under our company name Designs by Buddy, LLC.
