In 2008, Lara Francisco, a licensed physician assistant, decided that the existing selection of ill-fitting, poorly designed lab coats and scrubs were no longer acceptable for healthcare providers. She founded Medelita and launched a collection of tailored medical apparel that quickly caught on with hospital professionals seeking a much-needed alternative to baggy and disposable unisex garments.
A new line of fitted and flattering looks incorporated dual effect bacteriostatic technology to keep wearers dry, comfortable, and stain free during every shift. Today, Medelita’s designs feature additional performance fabrics and finishing details that blend function and elegance. The addition of a custom logo embroidery studio has further helped our customers achieve a personalized and impeccable appearance.
