Our organization reintroduces people to nature by helping them establish and maintain sustainable gardens that include native flowers to attract and support multiple generations of monarch butterflies and other pollinators. Not only does this allow for a hands-on approach to ecology education, it provides for the re-establishment of monarch butterfly corridors, which are quickly disappearing from our landscape. Butterflies and other pollinators are important to plants: nearly 90% of all flowering plants rely on animal pollinators for fertilization. Butterflies and other pollinators are important to people: 1,000 plants grown for food, beverages, fibers, spices, and medicines rely on animal pollinators for fertilization.
